What We Did on Our February Vacation

Since Australia Camp was a smashing success, we did an Around the World Camp during February Break. The country was a surprise each morning (except the morning when Laura peeked.) We updated our chart, colored our world map, colored a flag, and read a few books about each country.

School Project Fun

Laura chose Betsy Ross as the subject of her biography project. She was really excited about her costume. She wore it while she presented her Power Point timeline to the class. She did most of the cutting and sewing of the flag.

Scoreboard Clock

Here are a few pictures from our latest project - a scoreboard-themed clock for Alexander's room. It will be powered by a Raspberry Pi, a small computer that runs a bare bones Linux operating system. The design is pretty much done, and I've already started some of the construction

Happy Halloween

Here they are representing the Crimson Tide. The kids heard about a dozen "Roll Tides" while trick or treating downtown! Who knew that many Rhode Islander's had even heard of Alabama before! (and, no, I did not make the costumes.)
This costume never gets old!
