Busy Weekend

It all started on Saturday with Touch-A-Truck on the Town Commons. Jessica had to buckle up and close the doors when she got in the trucks so the people in the Elmo and Dora costumes wouldn't get her. Then we went to Laura's first soccer game. She was really excited to be on the team with purple jerseys.

And here is Laura's first ever assist off of a throw in. She got it over the beehive and her teammate put it into the goal.

This is one of those leagues where they don't keep score and all results are recorded as draws, but Laura's team scored more goals than the other team, so I'll let you read into that what you will.

Then Sunday was Laura's 6th birthday. She wanted a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme, and Sally found this great cupcake tree.

Then we surprised Laura with a bouncy house. She loved it, as did all the other kids. Actually, the adults thought it was pretty great, too, because all the kids pretty much entertained themselves and we got to hang out.

I'd like to take credit for this photo, but Amy already put it up on facebook. So I'll have to settle for stealing it.

And Laura finally got what she always wanted - her very own hermit crab. I told her I couldn't be held responsible if we run out of groceries and I get hungry for the world's smallest crab cake.
