Not sure why Alexander is so happy here. The kid is not a fan of cake. He is probably just happy to be done with food and ready for presents.

Alexander's 1st Birthday (Observed 3/4/11)
After we conquered the stomach flu and Tom returned from Canada, Alexander finally got to have a birthday complete with presents. Because Alexander's first year was dominated by a monkey theme, he got to have a monkey cake too. Zoo Pals plates and cups and Little People Zoo animals made for easy party decorations. Notice the nicely coordinated balloons and birthday banner (compliments of the very crafty Amy Ruggiero).
