ANZAC Day

Yesterday we celebrated ANZAC Day with the Australians and New Zealanders. Sally and I attended a dawn memorial service at the ANZAC Memorial that had some nice prayers and hymns. Then we went to the parade. In addition to the soldiers from Australia there were contingents from many of their allies, including some fancily-dressed Greeks. Then in the afternoon we went to an Aussie Rules football game. It was fun trying to figure out all the ins and outs of the game, but the crowd helped us know when the home team did something good (or bad!).
