As an added treat, we met up with the Rimmers (except Will, who evidently thinks defending our country is more important than going on vacation), whom we hadn't seen in two years. The kids didn't remember each other, but that didn't stop them from becoming best buddies for the day.

There may not be actual gods in this garden, but a battle of good versus evil is certainly being waged every day:

Guess which pigeon Laura listened to.

Jessica, on the other hand, amused herself by playing in the Sandbox of the Gods.
Once again, Alexander was content to nap and be carried all around the park.

We ate lunch at Balancing Rock, sheltered from the downpour by our nice minivan. Some other folks were not so lucky.

Later on the rain finally let up, and we took the girls out to the pool for a swim. Laura made a new friend to play mermaids with, and Jessica jumped into the pool over and over again.
All that hiking and swimming made for two exhausted children, and fingers crossed, that will translate into a good night's sleep!
